It Takes a Village—and a Blog
Hi, friend.
This little corner of the internet was born out of a hundred sticky-fingered snack times, a thousand deep toddler breaths, and a handful of late-night books and podcasts that stirred something in me—ones I’ll be sharing more about here on the blog. But one episode in particular stuck with me.
That episode?
"For Kids or Anyone Who's Ever Been a Kid" from What Now? with Trevor Noah.
(Released October 17, 2024. Highly recommend giving it a listen after this.)
In it, Trevor and his guests explore the beautifully complex experience of childhood—how it shapes us, how we carry it, and how much we need community to truly grow. It reminded me of something I’ve seen over and over again in my years working with children and families: it really does take a village. And often, that village starts with just one safe, supportive space—sometimes even online.
And that, in a roundabout way, is where Sprout & Sage begins.
